Forty Hours

Two parishes will be offering the Forty Hours devotion in the upcoming weeks. In simplest terms, the Forty Hours devotion is continuous hours of prayer, in a church, before the exposed Blessed Sacrament. The devotion has ancient beginnings, though the precise origin is not exactly known. Saints such as St. Charles Borromeo, St. Philip Neri, St. Ignatius of Loyola, St. Francis De Sales and St. John Neumann have all mentioned or practiced or encouraged this devotion or something analogous to it. Solemn High Mass for the Feast of St. Rocco

St. Rocco's annual festival is underway. A Solemn High Mass will be celebrated on Sunday. But the time is changed to 1:30pm. An opportunity to participate in the procession with statues of Saints from the parish will precede the Mass, beginning at 11:30am. So here's a chance to really celebrate the day! Procession, Solemn High, Italian Food! Note well, the regular Sunday noon Mass will be at 1:30pm on Sunday, September 5, 2021. The festival is like last year's...a drive-thru....

Cleveland TLM Friends was founded in 2009 as an online resource for the small, but growing, community of Faithful Catholics attached to the ancient Roman rite. The mission has been to promote awareness of and participation in the Traditional Latin Mass in the diocese of Cleveland. In that time, the celebration of the TLM has grown from 3 parishes to now 10.
