In today’s noisy, chaotic world, many young adults find themselves consumed by worldly pursuits as they avoid the loving call of our Father.
Their lives are much like what Francis Thompson describes in his timeless “The Hound of Heaven:”
“I fled Him, down the nights and down the days; I fled Him down the arches of the years; I fled Him down the labyrinthine ways of my own mind and in the mist of tears I hid from Him and under running laughter up vistaed hopes I sped; and shot, precipitated, adown Titanic glooms of chasmed fears, from those strong Feet that followed, followed after . . .”

Mary Queen of Peace
Join the Oliver Plunkett Social Club at Mary Queen of Peace for our 2nd Annual Advent retreat. Retreat begins with the First Saturday Traditional Latin Mass and devotions at 8am. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided and we will be joined by Fr. Kevin Estabrook, Fr. Bede Kotlinski, OSB., Fr. Daniel Bowen, O de M. and of course Fr. Doug Brown.
Open to Young Adults aged 18-40. Spread the word to friends, family and neighbors who may be interested. This is how we build our Latin Mass Community in Cleveland! Last year’s event was tremendous. (Note that the 8am TLM is open to all – so come and pray for retreatants even if you can’t stay for full event).
Please RSVP early so we can get a proper headcount for food. Small $5 donation encouraged to help cover costs: Eventbrite. Thanks & we hope to see you there!
I think it’s great that young people are getting together this way. It’s always nice to have friends with the same interests. God bless you all.
