Some members of the hierarchy have indeed taken notice of the utterly disgusting lack of faith in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament among Catholics, both lay and cleric alike. The responses to the crisis seem to range the spectrum as well, from baseball stadium masses, guitar songs and billboards, to full-on Catholic Action with high liturgy and processions in the streets. The reader can decide which might work best, but it surely doesn’t take a masters of divinity to do so.
On Thursday, June 8 at 6pm, in Columbus, Ohio, Solemn Mass for the Feast of Corpus Christi will be offered at St Leo Oratory. Most Reverend Earl K. Fernandes, Bishop of Columbus, will assist at the throne and then lead a public Eucharistic Procession outdoors through the neighborhood.
