His First Solemn Mass

A Local Pastor Celebrated His Patronal Feast Day

LORAIN AVENUE, Cleveland โ€” Congratulations to Father Kevin Estabrook! This past Saturday he celebrated his first Solemn Mass. This is yet another remarkable moment showcasing the grass-roots growth of the Traditional Latin Mass in the Diocese of Cleveland.

We are reminded that Fr Estabrook offers a TLM every Monday evening at 5:30pm. It is very important for us to attend these Latin Masses and support the priests who are providing the spiritual nourishment we desire.

“If you build it, they will come” has never been more true.

  1. A few weeks ago two of my sons and I were coming back from the Latin Mass at St. Stephen’s. We were driving west on Lorain and as we passed St. Ignatius of Antioch, I looked up and there was Father Estabrook, standing in the middle of the front portal. He was wearing vestments and a biretta, and looking out over the traffic. If there is anyone who deserves to be pastor of that magnificent church, I thought to myself, it is he. I said to my boys, “There is a priest who loves the Church.”

    1. Thanks for the comment, Paul! “A priest who loves the Church” is a DISTINCT mark of a true priest, one who believes. Its not purely relegated to TLM priests, but it is definitely a characteristic of each priest I know who offers the Traditional Roman Rite.
