On the Nativity of St. John the Baptist it is customary to light a large bonfire (called St. John’s Fire or Johannisfeuer in German) to symbolize the coming light of Christ.
This year, June 24th is especially meaningful as it is the 1-year anniversary of the overturning of Row vs. Wade.
Please join us on Saturday June 24th starting at 4:30pm for a potluck picnic and bonfire to celebrate both of these events! The celebration will take place at 3668 Allard Rd, Medina OH 44256.
We will begin at 4:30 with games, a bouncy house and obstacle course for the kids. At 6:00 we will begin dinner, and at dusk we will light the bonfire with a traditional blessing, songs and s’mores!
