About the project

The External Solemnity of Corpus Christi was celebrated on June 6, 2021, at Historic St. Rocco Church in Cleveland, Ohio.

This gallery of work captures moments from the Mass and also the Eucharistic procession which accompanies this feast. At the conclusion of Holy Mass, the Sacred Host is placed in a Monstrance and is carried in procession, all the while hymns are sung and chanted, incense is used and bells are rung. Often, the procession is carried through the streets. But when that is not possible, it can be held inside the Church. The faithful fall in line behind the priest, who is carrying Our Lord underneath a canopy or umbella. Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament concludes the celebration.
